This online webinar is presented virtually with live video communication between our instructor and each student. This course is designed for non-accredited asbestos professionals who have responsibilities involving asbestos management in buildings or on project sites. This course addresses the basics of asbestos, where asbestos is found, health issues and diseases. It also provides an overview of liabilities, asbestos inspections, managing asbestos in buildings and asbestos remediation activities.

The course assists building owners, construction managers and other related parties to understand how asbestos issues can affect facility operations or construction activities. This course does not accredit personnel to perform asbestos activities, rather to understand their role and responsibilities. This course can be used by school districts to help AHERA Designated Persons to fulfill their training responsibilities.

Online Webinar Procedure

Online webinars are provided using the Zoom Video Conferencing Meeting program. Meeting invitations will be emailed after registration prior to the training. The meeting can be attended using multiple devices including a computer (preferred), tablet, and smartphone. These devices will need to have a camera and microphone to verify student attendance and allow the student to participate in the training. Students can use multiple devices to achieve this.
