This class is designed for non-accredited asbestos professionals who have responsibilities involving asbestos management in buildings or on project sites. This course addresses the basics of asbestos, where asbestos is found, health issues and diseases. It also provides an overview of liabilities, asbestos inspections, managing asbestos in buildings and asbestos remediation activities.
The course assists building owners, construction managers and other related parties to understand how asbestos issues can affect facility operations or construction activities. This course does not accredit personnel to perform asbestos activities, rather to understand their role and responsibilities. This course can be used by school districts to help AHERA Designated Persons to fulfill their training responsibilities.
